Fright Fest 2012 Costume Sketches and Inspiration

Fright Fest

Blood Bags and Latex... o hello Fright Fest 2012.
The costumes were inspired by 'WW2 Women's Factory Workwear,' 'Japanese Horror Films' and 'The Stepford Wives.' To bring in the waists I designed the Latex Aprons with a corseted buckle back to cinch to the max! The lab coats were made from a heavy Cotton Drill and tailored for a 50s inspired shape.

Directed by Marianna Bukowski for Film 4

Hello Stranger! New Paloma

Its been a while! Im back.. and the New Paloma Faith Video is here with me..

Directed by Emil Nava.
Shot in one very busy day in a seedy theatre downtown and Soho obvs.

The styling inspiration came from cigarette cards of those naughty girls of the 19th Century. The weird and wonderful costumes that they displayed themselves in still managed to bring the men to the show. And here our Hoes, De Vitos, Marylins and Marvins bring it back with Paloma..

Citroen: The Royal Ballet vs Arsenal

Designs for the Royal Ballet. Citroen Campaign

Headpiece - Rough Sketch
A base of hand dyed feathers, layered with antique lace and hand appliqued vintage diamonte and beading, finished with a dip-dyed neon feather detail.

I designed the accessories to give a modern touch to the traditional Swan Lake costumes, whilst remaining beautiful and elegant.

The headpieces were made by jewellery designer/ maker
Karin Andreasson

Smaller Headpiece

A single feather, layered with smaller feather petals,
finished with Hand Appliqued vintage detail.
The look was completed with Silk Ribbon ala Chanel.
These pieces were made by myself.

Cuff Pieces

Strands of full white feathers on a bed of Silk, held together with Silver Chain linked around the wrist and over the middle finger. The pieces were finished with Crystal detail and a flash of Neon Ribbon.
